      taking Comfort Food to the Extreme

s a culinary and ski passionate, I created Apres Skillet to redefine the oh-so fine art of Apres.  I have spent many days on the slopes...for recreation, as a ski patroller, and as an ambassador at Mt. Snow.  Nothing beats a day on the slopes, except for a great evening afterwards...which is where the food passion thing comes in to play.

Like skiing, food is a lifestyle, and
COMFORT FOOD is truly a respite for the tired soul...and body.  Apres Skillet specializes in comfort food taken to the extreme.  And what better than having it ready to put in the oven while you enjoy friends and family in the comfort of your own place without any hassle?  No tired cranky kids or long lines or big bills. (I know because I have a family of 5).  Hey, I do like to go out with the best of them...but the thought of a glass of 
my favorite chardonnay or micro brew in hand, my meal cooking and my table set sounds perfect.  All that's left to do is to sit in front of my own fire with only the glow of the day spent on the mountain and talk of the day ahead, and if you're really lucky, the snow will be falling outside.  I'll do my best to order that one up for you.

Check out the menu and as they say in ski country, kick back and enjoy some of our ultimate comfort food prepared fresh that day in your place...signature dishes like the
Drunkin' Beef Pot Pie...as if beef simmered to perfection in Stout isn't enough, top it with lots o' puff pastry to soak  up all that goodness.  Or J's Sheppards Pie, a family favorite of beef or turkey browned with Long Trail IPA, corn, and piled high with smashed garlic-asiago potatoes.  Sealed with puff pastry.  IPA infused gravy on the side.  We like to experiment using micro brews... a new way to add that apres beer and a favorite ingredient of Apres.

We like kicking off the morning well too, so don't forget about
Pre-ski.  Apres Skillet also offers breakfast items for the next morning, all freshly made of course...hold the micro brew.  The Decadent
Pecan-Maple French Toast
is crazy-good, or try the Diner-all-in One breakfast casserole All are oven-ready for you to just pop in the oven in the a.m., and everyone is off with all they need to get through a morning of shredding.

Apres Skillet
uses as many local Vermont ingredients as possible...syrups, cheeses, local Vermont micro brews.  Fresh is best and homemade & local is better.  Servsafe Certified.
